Wild At Heart | Pinkfresh Studio Escape the Ordinary | Tarrah McLean

Hi Sassy Scrappers!

It's Tarrah McLean back with today to share a new layout created using the awesome Escape the Ordinary collection by Pinkfresh Studio!

This week, I started out by choosing a title that I could enlarge and use lots of the different papers from the 6 x 6 paper pad in. I enlarged my title to the size I wanted and then in the Silhouette software, I created an inner offset so that I was then able to cut the larger letters out from black cardstock and the same letters out but slightly smaller from the patterned papers. I love how having a rather large title can determine the design of your page instantly.

Once I had adhered all the papers to the corresponding cardstock, I added foam tape underneath all the letters and adhered them down to spell Wild Heart. I knew that I wanted to add 'At' so I decided to pull out those gorgeous half gold wooden letters from the Escape the Ordinary collection and added the word 'At' to the top left corner of my photo.

I loved all the words on that black strip of paper from the 6 x 6 paper pad, so I added that to the top of my photo, it describes my boys perfectly! I loved the look of the large butterfly on the top left on the letter 'W' too.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Check out the Sassy store to get this collection and so much more!

Pocket Pages | Pink Paislee Auburn Lane | Agnus Kasprzak

Hi again :) I'm back with anther pocket page share using a gorgeous mix of items from Pink Paislee's Auburn Lane collection.

While this range isn't my typical go-to style, I was instantly drawn to the darker tones paired with beautiful copper foil accents and am glad that I decided to give it a go and really love how it looks in my album.

As always I marked the start of a new month with a custom title card - pairing a simple wood grain background with some cute layered houses hand cut from a sheet of No.5 cardstock. The small sized mini alpha thickers were perfect for my title and a sprinkle of metallic Distress Stain spray helped to tie in all of the foiled accents.

I absolutely loved the wood veneer frames form this collection and had to stop myself from using them all up on one page ;) and settled for just one to frame the adorable bunny from the ephemera pack.

I got a bit stuck when trying to add a photo with blue tones that just didn't go with this beautiful colour palette, but overcame this by creating a flip pocket that allowed me to still use the photo without having it clash with the rest of the page.

The foiled hexagons from the label sticker sheets were a great way to add a pop of colour to the pocket, and the foiled details worked well with the other elements on the page.

Inspired by the spliced effect of the wooden frames and a few of the cut apart cards, I used black Distress Oxide ink with an ink blending tool to colour some smooth white cardstock that I layered over the reverse side of a 3x4" card from the cut-apart cardstock.

Enjoy and Smile | Pinkfresh Studio Escape the Ordinary | Tarrah McLean

Hi Sassy Scrappers!

It's Tarrah McLean back with you and today I am sharing a new layout created using the awesome Escape the Ordinary collection by Pinkfresh Studio!

The inspiration for my layout today came about from my son's red jumper in the photo! Plus both my sons are going on a bushwalk so it was the perfect photo to team up with this collection! I flipped through the 6 x 6 paper pad and ripped out the red paper with all the quotes on it. I loved that I could cut them into strips and adhere them above and below my photo.

As you can see I went with a fairly red theme on this page, pulling out lots of different bits and pieces that were red from the collection, like some of the cardstock stickers, puffy stickers, chipboard stickers and ephemera. I added some small touches of black and grey also to break up the red.

I added a couple of embellishment clusters around the page including the one above with part of the layered, the Wild puffy sticker and the star and flower chipboard stickers. I love to cluster embellishments and I especially love to overlap embellishments onto my photo.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the Sassy store for this collection and so many more craft goodies!

Happy creating!
