So Long 2014...

Hello Sassy Scrappers, Leonie here today at the end of another year.

I hope it's been a super creative fulfilling year for you.

I'm not big on the resolutions or word of the year things.

However it is a good opportunity to reflect for just a little while

on the year that was and perhaps on one part of our life we may like to

work on in the future.

Perhaps by documenting it in same small way like this I

have at least acknowledged something that I would like to make happen

in the coming year.

I've used the Websters pages - All That Glitters range which has some perfect new year sentiments

if you're looking to document any sort of net year parties or resolutions.

How about you?  Any burning ambitions or resolutions for the new year? Here's to a Happy Creative 2015 to all our Sassy Scrappers. Cheers Leonie Neal-Dawson.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas...

I hope everybody is prepared for however they Celebrate

the season.

From me, I'd like to wish that you all have a joyous and peaceful Christmas.

Christmas Eve is upon us now and so today I have my

Family's Christmas Photo taken on Christmas Eve 2013.

I used the Websters Pages - All That Glitters collection for this page.

I was so happy with how this page came about.

Clean and simple, no paint or ink anywhere - very unusaul for me but I like the design - and it all came together so quickly.  Perhaps it's that time of the year, too busy

for anything too complicated!

I love the limited colour palette too and must thank my Daughter for her super

Colour Splash editing of the photo. She did a fab job! Thank you Miss M. x

See below for links to all the papers used on this page.

Merry Christmas to all.

Cheers

All That Glitters - Websters Pages

Hello, Leonie here today.

How are all the Christmas preparations going?  I think I'm almost ready.

Today I'm sharing a page with the lovely All That Glitters range from Websters Pages.

I used lots of the label stickers from the Websters range to help with the layering process.

The gold metallic Holiday Cheers stickers from Pretty Little Studio were a perfect

accompaniment to the wood grain papers I used from the Websters range adding just a little

shine to the page.

Paper Christmas Wreath with Process Video

Hello Sassy Scrappers, Leonie here today with a Christmas Mixed Media canvas

to share with all our readers.

I also have a process video to share showing how I made the 12x12" Canvas below.

I used this paper from the

Websters Pages range All That Glitters, to form my paper wreath.

The paper has a gorgeous gold glomesh pattern which I used to trace and cut out

A LOT of leaves.  It took almost two full pieces of the paper to get out the required

amount of leaves I needed for the wreath.

I've a couple of detail shots below

So sit back and watch the video below to see how I made this lovely Christmas Decoration.

Check out all the products I've used from the Sassy Store below.

Cheers Leonie Neal-Dawson.

All That Glitters - Websters Pages

Hello to all our Sassy Scrappers! Leonie here today and

welcome to December and lots of Christmas inspired projects for you on the Sassy blog.

I'll be using the Websters Pages collection - All That Glitters and the NEW December Moodboard leading up to Christmas to get you scrapping those Christmas photos.

Today I'm going to show you how I've scrapped photos' from Christmas' several years apart.

The theme of my page is based on Dickens - 'A Christmas Carol'.  Having used a photo from Christmas past and Christmas present.  The photo's were both taken on Christmas Morning, eight years apart.  They clearly show that not much has changed with one of my sons.  Just as happy with a cricket bat and ball now as he was when he was two years old.

I love this cool Bokeh patterned paper from the 'All That Glitters' range as the background for my page.  There are also several bokeh and glitter patterned vellum papers in this collection which are just gorgeous and are great for layering on pages or even for pocket page inserts.

I combined the bright green of the bokeh paper with the natural wood grains and

timber patterns of the Deer Ones paper.

The Deer Ones paper was fussy cut and some of the picture frames used to layer behind the photos.  I've also added some stamping in a neutral timber colour and some stencilling with gesso to the base paper.

I used one of the 'Storeyteller 1' Jouranlling cards which also had the bokeh print on it to form part

of the title along with the gold mini letters.

So how have things changed over the years in your Christmas Photo's?

Are they much the same or vastly different,

why not have a go at documenting Christmas past and Christmas present on the same page.

Click on the links below to take you straight to the Sassy Scrapper shop where you can buy

some of these lovely Websters Pages papers and don't forget to join us in our December Moodboard Challenge...We would LOVE to see your entries..

Cheers,

Leonie Neal-Dawson.
