Love Card

Hi There!

Shell Carman here today. The sun is shining how exciting!! Spring is just around the corner & it has inspired me to create a soft, romantic card to celebrate the end of Winter!!

I have used the softer colours of the Kaisercraft Porcelain Rose collection again mixed with a little red & black to give a more vintage look.

I have cut some vellum paper to size & embossed it to give a nice dimensional appearance. I then stitched the vellum onto the Dearest paper then adhered to the cardstock base. This way the stitching won't go through to the other side of the cardstock making it look messy from behind. It also allowed me to tuck the ends of the lace under before stitching.

Best Friends

Hi There!
Shell Carman here today. Last month Hubby & I took the kids for a drive and we ended up having lunch at the lake. I took the camera along & got some nice pics of the kids that I have been wanting to scrap. This pic was my favourite. They were all standing, watching the ducks swim so of course being a scrap Mum I made them hold hands so the picture would look that bit cuter LOL!
I have been playing with Kaisercraft Porcelain Rose collection this month. It is such a pretty collection with lot's of gorgeous images to play around with.

Circle Punch Tutorial with Kaisercraft Porcelain Rose

Hi There!

Today I have a little tutorial on how to use a Martha Stewart corner punch around a circle

I have used it to form the background on this page

This is using Kaisercraft Porcelain Rose. This page is a totally different look & colour palette to my page from last week using the softer tones in the collection

Some Prima flowers & collectables

A mix of Green Tara & Kaisercraft flowers with Kaisercraft wooden flourish

How to use a corner punch around a circle

1. Cut a circle to any size desired
2. Take any corner punch. I have used Martha Stewart Vintage Doily
3. Place the corner punch on the circle. Make sure the tip of the punch is lined up to the edge of the circle. Punch.

4. Now line the corner punch next to the first punch mark still making sure the tip lines up to the edge of the circle. Punch

5. Repeat this process around the entire circle. Sometimes a small triangle piece remains after you have punched.
6. Carefully trim this off
7. Once you have finished punching around the circle yo may have a small piece left over. This all depends on the size of the circle as to how much you have left over if any.

8. Again carefully trim the extra piece off.
You can barely see the extra piece that has been trimmed off but if it really bothers you then keep this in mind when you are sticking it down on your page & you can always embellish over the top of it!

I hope you enjoyed the tutorial & can put it to use!

Love to Love you

Hi There!
I'm typing this on a Sunday arvo still sitting in my PJ's with the central heating blasting away because it is sooooooooooo cold!!
Hopefully by the time this posts the sun has come out for us again!
This month I am playing with another Kaisercraft collection Porcelain Rose. On first glance the colours might scare some of you away as there are some really rich blue, red & black colour combos but there is also a much softer colour palette throughout the collection of white, dusty pink & olive green. It gives this collection a really versatile look.
I decided to play with the richer colours first as they are colours I don't usually work with & I was keen to play with something different! (plus I had cute photos of Kayla wearing a red dress & wanted to play matchy matchy's!)
This page is based on this months Sassy Scrapper sketch . I have flipped the sketch on it's side. (see sketch at the bottom of the post)

I have created layers by fussy cutting some of the images & mixing in some collectables.

A mix of Prima, Bo Bunny & Kaisercraft flowers
