Smash Cake Memory File

Good Morning..... so how is your Sunday going? We in the West are on count down mode for school holidays and I am jealous of all of you that are currently on holidays. So my share today marks the last of the Heidi Swapp memory file inspiration. I must say I am very happy with the results, and its has been nice to do something different.

Memory file number three is my daughter's, I chose to use her 1st Birthday Smash Cake photos. So by doing this set of photos it called on me to get a little creative (hence the artifical light, the photos where taken in).

So as you can see any ribbon is a perfect complement for the Heidi Swapp Colour Pop Memory files...

For something a little different this time around I have flipped the folder so it flips down towards you.

The Heidi Swapp Serendipity 6x6 paper pack is prefect for making your own booklet to going inside the file and it really is a simple way to customise your folders, just cut to the size you want and score an edge where you want to fold and a little bit of double sided tape in between each layer and your done....

The photos are your standard 6x4 size, you can trim them down to fit or you can make them hang over to mimic the tags in the rest of the folder....

This folder isn't finished yet as I need to add some personal journaling but I am very happy how it has turned out.

Summer Fun

Hello again Sassy friends!
I am stunned that it's almost the end of the month. The shortest day has come and gone so we can all start to look forward to summer days once again!

I've created this layout with Crate's The Pier. These instframes must be some of my fave embellishments ever. I've backed this one with one of the journalling cuts and popped some ice creams which I've fussy cut from a sheet of 'Frozen Treats' and popped them onto some foam tape for dimension.
One day I will get over my dislike for my handwriting... until then, I continue to hide my journalling. This time behind the main image. You'll notice I've stuck a wave shape sticker inside the frame too for some playfulness. Those groovy wood glasses are from Basic Grey 'Hipster'.
Living in beautiful Queensland - I'm thankful I don't have to wait for Summer to dip my toes in the sand.

Wishing you a crafty weekend. Hopefully you get the chance to dabble and enter our June challenge which closes on the 30th. There are loads of things I have to be thankful for - have a go at popping some of yours down and linking them up!

Till next time!

Chantalle

Project Life - A Summer Layout

Hi everyone! It's Sam Hauzer here with a Project Life layout to share using the gorgeous Kaisercraft Summer Breeze papers...

I love how any scrapbooking products can be incorporated into Project Life pages. It's also a perfect way to use up all those paper scraps we all seem to accumulate!

I tend to make these pages a lot less bulky than my normal pages, so flattish embellishments like twine bows are perfect for these these types of layouts.

The Kaisercraft Summer Breeze collection was just right for these photos. If you haven't used this gorgeous range, you can grab some in the Sassy Scrappers Shop HERE.

And don't forget to check out the great range of twine HERE!
Have a great week!

Heidi Swapp Memory folder fun......

Good Morning, hope you are enjoying your Sunday.... where ever you are! Today I thought I would continue sharing with you the memory file system by Heidi Swapp. There are plenty of ways to use them when you get the packet I decided to use 2 folders for each of my children, I thought it was a great way to show off some of the professional shots of them and I also wanted to show off there individuality.

So last week I showed you the start of my oldest folder, Tristan and this week I will be showing what I have done for my middle child Ethan.

I decided to keep the front cover similar to the first as I wanted to display them together, because Ethan is younger I decided to add a little bit of fun and whimsy with the sequins and the Greatest View Flair button.

Continuing inside  with the sequins, I have used the Heidi Swapp No Limits Disco Arrows for Ethan's theme. Don't forget to use washi as a quick embellishment as it doesn't take away the focus of the pages.

I have used Steam binding to keep the project together, I love it as you can use anything to die it to the colour that you are after. I love the Heidi Swapp Serendipity Mini Fotostack Book Stars because it instantly adds more pages to your folders without alot of effort.

Do you have mini pegs or pegs that need to  be co ordinated with your layout? To jazz them up why don't you use some washi tape?

Another thing to remember to add to your Memory file, are the Heidi Swapp Clear Pop Clear Clear Tabs......
