Be Merry Be Bright | Mistletoe Kisses - Simple Stories | Tarrah McLean

Hi everyone!

It's Tarrah McLean back with you again today. Sadly this will be my last share with you as November and my guest designer position here at Sassy Scrappers has almost come to an end :(

I can however show you my newest layout that I created using the amazing Mistletoe Kisses collection from Simple Stories!!
I started out with a plain white cardstock background and used my Silhouette Cameo to cut a large Christmas Tree cut file available now in The Cut Shoppe
I then backed the white tree cut out with the pretty stripe patterned paper from the Mistletoe Kisses collection. I love how the colours look behind the cut file!
I used all the different embellishments from the collection to embellish my layout including the ephemera pack, the decorative clips and the stickers too. The wood veneer pieces are from a different collection! I also used one of The Cut Shoppe's cut files for my title, cutting it out, adhering it and then machine stitching through it for a little bit of texture!

Thank you so much for stopping by the Sassy blog and for looking at my projects this last month!

Happy creating!

Tarrah x

Classic Christmas with Kylie

Hello Sassy Scrappers! Kylie with you all today with a fun snailmail project using the "Classic Christmas" collection by Simple Stories. This range is great if you like working with more 'traditional' themed Christmas goodies. Here is a little look at just some of the collection-

And of course you can go shopping or view all of it here.
I created a fun Snailmail folder with multiple pockets for sending lots of paper goodness in.Here is a little look at the finished result without anything in it as yet......

I like creating this style of folder as it is so quick yet looks big on detail once embellished. I am a self confessed 'busy' embellisher.I like to have every last little nook and corner filled so there is plenty for the eye to browse over and lots of interest. If you would like a quick tutorial on this style of folder, you can see it here.
Let's take a little close up look at some more photos-

Here's just a sample of some of the extra goodies I have put together for sending in the pockets to my penpal.

Of course I will also add a letter and a few other goodies for sending as well. I liked the overall completed look!

I hope you have enjoyed my project this week.
Until next time, keep creating,

Kylie. xoxo

Agnus | Project Life - Documenting December

Hi again, Agnus here with another share from my project life album using the gorgeous Elle's Studio 'Tis The Season collection to create an insert ready to document our December.  If you missed my previous posts using this collection, then be sure to check out the interactive elements I created here along with my opening page and more cards, tags and fun envelope here

I cut down a full sized page protector to create a 6x12" festive insert ready to record more of our December memories. I began by filling one of the pockets with a mix of sequins and one of the exclusive 'Decked Out' cut files designed by The Cutshoppe (get your free download from the Sassy store) and used my fuse tool to create a fun shaker pocket.

For something a bit different I also used a few of the 'Favorite Things' cut files as digital stamps over the wood grain pattern from the 'Evergreen' 12x12" paper to create a custom background for one of my photos. To do this I scanned the patterned paper into my computer and used the png version of the cut files to add the images before printing it out onto matte photo paper.

The reverse side holds more cards ready for journaling and photos, and I love that the shaker pocket is double sided.

I tied the puffy stickers with some metallic thread and attached them to the card in a way that makes it look like they are hanging from the card. I finished with a layered a tag that is only attached to the card on one side so a photo can easily slip beneath it.

Snow Day | Simple Stories Mistletoe Kisses | Tarrah McLean

Hi Sassy fans!
It's Tarrah McLean back with you sharing another scrapbook layout I have created for our current team up with The Cut Shoppe! I am currently guest designing here at Sassy Scrappers and have used the gorgeous Simple Stories Mistletoe Kisses collection!

I used a white gel pen in my Silhouette Cameo to draw The Cut Shoppe Snow Day cut file design instead of cutting it out. I then coloured them all in by hand using the same white gel pen!

The Mistletoe Kisses collection has lots of snow related items included! Even though we don't do snow at this time of year, I still wanted to make use of some of those cute items so I pulled out a photo of my eldest son from a snow visit 2 years.

I cut the Snow Day title from one of the papers and then used foam tape to add dimension...this allowed me to be to tuck things underneath and also creates some shadow too.

There is still a little bit of time to save 25% off your entire order at The Cut Shoppe with the discount code below!

Thank you so much for joining me on the Sassy Scrappers blog! I hope I have inspired you to get creating?! Check out the Sassy Scrappers store to find everything you need to get crafty!
