Love You To The Moon | Pink Paislee/Paige Evans Whimsical | Tarrah McLean

Hi Sassy Scrappers!

It's Tarrah McLean back with you and today I have a new layout to share with you using the gorgeous Whimsical collection by Paige Evans/Pink Paislee. I will be working with this collection over the next few weeks so stay tuned for inspiration once a week!
This month, I did not order any 12' x 12' sheets of patterned paper, I wanted to challenge myself and you to use just the 6' x 6' paper pad!! For my first layout, I chose a cut file that I knew would suit the Whimsical collection and chose different papers that I could back behind each letter.

Once I had worked out where all the patterned papers were going to go, I added foam dots around each letter on the back of the cardstock background. I then took each individual paper and cut it down to size to fit and adhered it to the background cardstock. I love the way this creates the shadow and dimension on a page. I continued with each letter until they were all backed with papers.

I also added some foam dots to a few of the embellishments to tie in with the dimension feel to this page. I did however keep the embellishing to a minimum because there was so much going on with all those different patterned papers. I clustered a few things around the photo of my boys and added a few other things here and there.

I did also add some machine stitching to the base of the cloud stickers at the top of the layout and also to the bottom scallop strip too.

So all this took was the 6' x 6' paper pad, the cut file in the background and a few embellishments and the page was complete! Check it all out in the Sassy store, there are sooo many gorgeous products in there, you will want 1 of everything!

I hope I have inspired you to give the 6' x 6' paper pad a go? So fun to use!

Happy creating!

Let It Snow | Pink Paislee Yuletide | Tarrah McLean

Hi Sassy Scrappers!

It's Tarrah McLean and today I am back to share another Christmas layout with you!
I am working with the gorgeous Pink Paislee Yuletide collection so keep an eye out for some festive inspiration using this collection!

The Kraft and snowflake paper from the Yuletide collection is super pretty, I knew I had to create a winter themed page as soon as I saw this paper! I cut a snowflake cut file out from plain white cardstock so that I could overlay it on top of the snowflake paper.

There are also lots of snowflake embellishments in the Yuletide collection so I made use of these on this page too! I added some of the acetate snowflakes around the outside of the cut file as well as layering some of them on top of the photo and on the that cute tag that I placed beside my photo.

I added a few things from my stash like the Brrrr letters, the silver, glittery star, the large chipboard snowflake and some of the phrase stickers. I added one of the cute metal clips to the top right of my photo as well as adding one of the acetate frames under the same corner.
I added some twine through the top of the tag and finished off the page with some white mist to replicate snow!

Thank you so much for stopping by the Sassy blog today! Make sure to check out the Sassy store - you will find so much goodness in there!

Happy creating!

Peace Love Joy | Pink Paislee Yuletide | Tarrah McLean

Hi Sassy Scrappers!

It's Tarrah McLean and today I am back to share another Christmas layout with you!
I am working with the gorgeous Pink Paislee Yuletide collection so keep an eye out for some festive inspiration using this collection for the next couple of weeks!

I just love how big titles look on scrapbook layouts! This 'Peace Love Joy' looks so pretty cut out from the red paper! Once the cut file was cut out, I used foam dots so that it would sit up off my page. Once that was stuck down, it was really easy to arrange everything else on my layout.

I knew that I wanted to have the photo inside the 'O' of the 'Joy' word. I also backed the open circles in the Christmas tree in the 'Peace' word with some left over green paper. I chose a non busy paper for the background and this one with the spots on it was perfect to use.

I added one of the gorgeous metal tree clips to the top of the 'Joy' word. I also added some die-cuts both tucked in under the cut file and layered on the top of the cut file. Some enamel dots, the gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine and the flair button are all from my stash and were added for a little extra detail.

Thanks so much for stopping by this week!

Make sure to check out ALL the gorgeous Christmas collections and more in the Sassy store, there is something for everyone!

Merry and Bright | Pink Paislee Yuletide | Tarrah McLean

Hi Sassy Scrappers!

It's Tarrah McLean and today I am back to share another Christmas layout with you!
I am working with the gorgeous Pink Paislee Yuletide collection over the next few weeks so keep an eye out for some festive inspiration using this collection!

I knew when I saw the red paper that had the Merry Christmas printed on it that I wanted to cut a title out from it with my Silhouette Cameo. I chose the Merry and Bright title because I liked the different fonts used in the title.

Cut files are a great way to jump start a design if you are  little bit stuck. Once I had placed the title down, it was then very easy to work out where I wanted to put my photo and other embellishments. Underneath my photo, I layered one of the acetate tags from the die-cut pack.

I added 2 flair buttons from my stash at home, I have such a massive flair collection so when I can use them up, I do! It was great to be able to get 2 on this page! I also added a few of the super cute bell, bauble and star puffy stickers around the cut file design.
Thanks so much for stopping by this week!

Make sure to check out ALL the gorgeous Christmas collections in the Sassy store, there is something for everyone!

Merry Christmas and happy creating!

Wander | Pinkfresh Studio Escape the Ordinary | Tarrah McLean

Hi Sassy Scrappers,

It's Tarrah McLean back with today to share a new layout created using the awesome Escape the Ordinary collection by Pinkfresh Studio!

I have had this photo printed for so long and never really found anything that I liked to go with it until I was working with this awesome collection again the other day!
Outdoor photos are just perfect!

I started out by cutting out a leafy background cut file from white cardstock and then backed a couple of random leaves with one of the papers from the 6' x 6' paper pad. I then machine stitched the cut out down onto another sheet of white cardstock.

I popped the photo up with some foam tape and embellished mostly around the photo to draw your eye in. I picked out green, gold and hints of blue embellishments as they were the colours in the photo. I chose 'Wander' as my title using those super cool leatherette alphabet stickers!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Make sure you check out the all new Sassy store...it has received a makeover and its awesome!

Happy creating!
