leave nothing but footprints in the sand - websters pages

Hi everyone ,
Anita here sharing my first page using the super lovely collection ocean melody by websters pages
I started of with an idea I had when I seen this sheet of patterned paper

I then used my silhouette to cut my title out using different fonts

Next I cut the sheet of patterned paper

to go behind my cutout title so I would have lovely pops of colour in my title

And I cut another strip of patterned paper for the other side to keep the colours flowing across the page

Here you can see my finished page

I cut vellum hearts and machine stitched them down and added dots across the page using a stencil and shimmerz inklings pink

I sprayed the flowers with water then painted the edges of the flowers with the blue gold shimmerz inklings and heat dryed them
I then cut some leaves with my silhouette using a scrap of patterned paper to match the colours on my page

I used on of the images from the patterned paper and cut a tag and used a little sticker from the sticker sheet for an eyelet

So pop on over to the sassy shop and check out this super range from websters pages

Something Wonderful - Teresa Collins

Hello and welcome to the Sassy Scrapper blog.
My page today features the gorgeous Something Wonderful range from Teresa Collins Designs.
The red, yellow and aqua colour scheme has been great to scrap.
Today I've used it for this boy page.

I've used lots of pieces from ephemera pack to layer and embellish my page.
Including making this banner from the sticker sheet.  I just stapled the pennants together to
form the garland and used foam dots to adhere it to the page giving it some dimension.
The large number die cuts I randomly stuck on the page apart from the number 10 on the photo which was my sons' age when the photo was taken.

I wrote on this little journal spot from the ephemera pack and slid it under
my photo.
I like recording funny things the kids say on my pages so that they are never forgotten.
Where on earth do they get this stuff from?
We really laughed at this little gem.
Maybe in another 10 years Son!!
But at the moment he's still my cute little 10year old joker.

Project Life | Week 28...

Hello Friends!  Have you seen the new Sassy Scrapper Project Life August kit? Today I have the pleasure of sharing with you my Project Life | Week 28.

Can you believe we are past.. (I'll let that sink in..) halfway through the year! My PL album is certainly filling out nicely!  I hope yours is too.

This week carried over from a crazy week before.  It was still the school holidays and we still needed to celebrate my baby's fifth birthday.  A few photo collages helped share the stories in that respect.

The Teresa Collins patterned paper and the Kaisercraft Captured Moments PL cards in the kit compliment each other beautifully.

It was just a matter of adding the right number of layers between the PL cards and patterned paper, before I was happy to leave them be.  And most of the time with this spread, simplicity won out.

To add a little extra dimension with the stickers, I trimmed them directly from their sheet, leaving a small border around the actual sticker shape.

On page two, I fell in love with the cork stars!  We first visited our local and brand new superstore, Costco, at night.  I thought using stars in the blank space of the photo helped emphasise that part of the story.

I've also used the cork star next to the photo of my son, showing me how old he is, with his fingers.  The five points of the star relate to his five fingers.  *grin*

As a journaling feature this week, I thought I would ask my five year old what his favourite things are right now.  I labelled his cute answers in paper strips directly to a PL card.

The BINGO card patterned paper was a fun element, layered with stickers and trimmed patterned paper to create a filler card.

It is always fun to look back on interesting or unique journaling. If you journal in full paragraphs throughout most of your spreads, perhaps including a fun Q&A session could spice things up a bit.

Thanks for visiting..x
