Last day to enter your Sketch layouts....

Hi Rikki here, and another share which is easy to do when you love this range!!! Have you ever had ideas or brainwaves that just hit you in weird times? Well this is where this layout came from a 3 am brainwave and then the desire to do it straight away and I even had time to set up the sewing machine.

This is based on the Sassy Scrapper's March monthly sketch...... Have you done yours yet? why don't you give it a go this Sunday and just make the deadline with the chance to win a $20 voucher.

March Sketch.

So I have flipped the sketch and then shrunk it down to suit my instagram pictures. I love this Amy Tangerine pattern paper as a background its a real girly version of chevron and who doesn't like pink?

So what is old is new again and vellum is making a come back and in this case it I love how it adds interest without taking away from the overall softness of the layout and theres nothing sweeter than Amy Tangerines Yes Please Die Cut Shapes Create, to add a little interest too.

I love how Amy Tangerine stickers are a little bit see through and you can treat them like washi tape, seen here in the teal and orange strips and they play so well with the Greatest View flair button.

Be Awesome!

Good morning everyone!
Hopefully this post finds you in your pajamas, enjoying a nice leisurely pace!

I want to share a little mini 'note to self' album I have made, using the beautiful and rather inspiring Studio Calico 'Sundrifter' collection that I have been enjoying this month.

It's easy to get a bit bogged down in all the hustle and bustle of our busy lives. I have made this book to look at on days when it all feels a bit crazy.
To make the album, I cut up a 12x12 Ring WRMK photo sleeve, trimming up the edges so they were all a consistent size. Since I am using 3x4 journaling cards, I have a bit of free space on the left hand side. I punched some holes there for the album rings.
How gorgeous is this little 2013 badge from Greatest View! It works so perfectly with the colours in the collection. I used some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Georgia Peach and Tropicana Teal to dye the ribbon. I just love using these fabulous mists, the colour is super rich and you need only a few sprays to get good coverage.
So many things to be grateful for...
My gorgeous hubby and I celebrate nearly two decades together this year.
I can't tell you how many times I'm called a 'dag' - (I had to learn what that word meant when I moved to Australia), but you know, there is nothing nicer than making other people laugh!
A big blue sky above my head makes my heart so very happy...
We must all remember to show ourselves some love from time to time!
I hope you enjoyed this little album.
Wishing you and your families a safe and happy Easter weekend.

GDT - Joanne Bain - Prima Engraver Mini Album

Hi again everyone!!

Joanne here with you today to share a mini album I created using the Prima Engraver Collection. Because of the beautiful neutral tonings of this collection it makes it perfect to do something along these lines with. All papers and embellishments mix and match so well together making creating so much easier.

This is quiet a photo lengthy post but I hope you enjoy!!

"Family" Mini Album by Joanne Bain

I created a beautiful dimensional floral arrangement for the front cover of the album. I even incorparated some of the Prima packaging.

I have made a pocket and insert a tag for easy hidden journalling under my photo on the left side, while on the right side I created and mini album on the page to add a bit of extra wow. It also has a tag pocket for more journalling.

I love the patterns on the papers they are stunning. Almost to nice to cut up.

I have not over embellished the pages just added a few bits and pieces here and there.

I created even more pockets on these pages one is for journalling again while the other is just to tuck a photo away or a tag that has a beautiful floral print on it. I love the ticket stubbs.

More journalling tags hidden and layers of the patterned papers in the backgrounds for added interest.

On the right side I created a big pocket to tuck away and memorabilia that there might be or as I used mine for extra photos.

So there you have my finished mini album. I hope it has inspired you to have a go at creating one of your own.

I added hints of dusty rose ribbon throughout the album to add a feminine splash of colour and a few of the Prima Resin Treasures as they just blended so well with the look I was going for. I distressed all the edges and then dust lightly with dark chocolate ink.
