Graphic 45 Secret Garden Mini Album

Hi There!
Shell Carman here today sharing an altered Graphic 45 Film Cannister & Mini Album using the Graphic 45 Secret Garden collection!
This is the Film Cannister before it was altered. You can find this in the Graphic 45 staples section here
The kraft mini album folds out accordian style.
Here it is fully altered
so this is the outside of the metal film cannister & lid. I have fussy cut the fence image from 2 sheets of the Secret Garden paper & taped this around the edge/side of the lid.
The tulips & little girl were also fussy cut from the Secret Garden sheet. To get them to stand up I simply folded the bottom of the image to form a tab then secured the tab to the lid with tape.
To create the wishing well I used the Sun Kissed paper.

The flowers were fussy cut from the Pretty Primrose sheet mixed with a Manor House flower
This is the outside of the mini album

Trend Setter co - ordination..............

Good Morning, Rikki here.... hows your Sunday going so far? Week two of the holidays over here in the West and its nice to have the cooler weather however I would be 100% happier if I didn't have a flu (so I apologise in advance if some of this post makes no sense at all).

So last week I talked about the value of a kit, this week I want to share with you the joys of co-ordinating pattern papers and how it can make you live out of the box with your scrapping. For me the Fancy Pants Trendsetter kit is perfect for boys and girls but what I have discovered is it has made me thing differently about colour schemes.....

For me I would never put a navy colour with a pastel pink nor would I put the vintage style papers in the mix.

Have you seen the new washi tapes in store? I love the Pebbles washi so easy to use and adds dimension to any layout. I love the sticker sheet in the Fancy Pants Trendsetter kit, makes doing your title so easy.

Dont forget to twist your flower ends to make little springs, they add a nice contrast to your flower clusters.

A More-ish Mixed Bag!

Hello again!
It's no surprise that I have enjoyed creating with Glitz's Color Me Happy this month and for my last post, I've got a couple of ideas that might further inspire you to get your hands on this glorious collection!
At the beginning of the year, everyone was talking about their 'One little Word'... being fairly new to the scrapping scene I had to look into what all the buzz was about. I ended up deciding on the word 'Believe' - yep I guess it's a pretty common one, but I think we all have the potential to suffer at some point with self doubt in various aspects of our lives.
So I bought my word... in this case, a Kaisercraft wooden one. Time to jazz it up... It's no secret, I love colour and I love bling, so rhinestones were my go-to embellishment!
After many an hour armed with my tweezer... this is the result and it sits in all it's crazy, colourful, shining glory on my desk as a daily reminder.
(I will be going into more detail as to how I made my word on my blog soon.)

Now, with Mother's Day just around the corner, I've also cooked up a juicy card and gift tag for you, to hopefully get those creative juices flowing!
I am crushing on this Crafters Workshop tiny circles template in a big way!
Some alphas mixed in with a title cut on my Silhouette Cameo. If you've been thinking about investing in one of these, now is the time to pre-order through the shop!
Or how about a beautiful tag to compliment a special gift?
I added dimension to the two heart shaped 'Whatnots' by stitching on the one and reversing it onto the other, raising it with pop dots. Some Elle's Studio tags and a little Kaisercraft wooden flourish, misted with Color Shine, finish it off nicely

Wishing you a fabulous weekend and thank you so very much for all your kind comments!

In the words of Arnie...."I'll be back...!"

Sunshine and Happiness

 hi everyone..
here is my last layout for this month using Simple Stories Vintage Bliss
and ive loved using this wonderful collection ..
so i wanted to create a background that stood out with only using a few papers

i misted lots of blue and added a few splats of pink oh and a few flicks of yellow then i let it dry
{and yes i hate waiting for things to dry}
i used a black fine liner pen and circled some of the little droplets
next i used a set of stamps
Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm Clear Acrylic Stamps

and stamped them on my background then added some bling

i hope you have enjoyed my showcase of Simple Stories Vintage Bliss
this month.. so pop on over to the sassy shop and check out this awesome range

happy crafting
hugs

Riding the Pony

Hi there!

I'm still working with one of my favourite collections Graphic 45 Secret Garden! I have pretty much fussy cut every image throughout the papers LOL!

This page is of my DD Kayla. She was beside herself with happiness when she got to ride the Shetland Pony at the school fete over Easter! She couldn't keep the smile off her face! Of course she begged & pleaded to have a Pony at home. We asked just where the Pony was supposed to sleep & eat & she thought the Shed would be perfect.......... HMMMM I don't think so!

So now I have used this collection to scrap photos about Ponies, pancakes & kinder so you can see that it pretty much goes with anything!

Echo Park Photo Freedom

Hi everyone! It's Sam Hauzer here, with yet another layout using the Echo Park Photo Freedom kit. It's amazing just how many layouts you can get out of these kits!

Products used - Echo Park Photo Freedom Kit, Thickers, Black Pen.

It's such a great way to document all the little moments, and it's a great way to get a lot of memories into one album, without all the bulk! I do love a good lumpy bumpy layout, and will always do those as well, but I am just loving this style of scrapping.

You can check out the great range of Echo Park Photo Freedom kits in the Sassy Scrappers shop HERE.

Trendsetting Sunday

Good morning, Rikki here. This Sunday mark the first Sunday in the holidays for us over in the West and I must say I am loving the idea of just not doing the school runs, as my darlings don't believe in sleep ins, so no school is the small blessing for me....

Today I thought I would share with you a layout using the Fancy Pants Trendsetter, in store now.... For those who think I don't do kits I hope I can change you mind, the first positive for buying a kits is  for value you get all the papers in the range and lets face it, there's nothing worse than buying some pattern papers and getting home to realise you should have brought that piece it would have been perfect for this layout I am working on. Another big positive for me is the sticker sheets especially the alphas, it takes the hard work out of titles, one more point that is a huge positive is you have everything perfectly co ordinated which is a great time saver.

To bulk out the kit I went into my stash of flowers and paper doilies and if your like me, its definitely a plus to use what you have already and to keep yourself on budget.

The banner stickers are a great time saver just add a little foam mount and twine and your banner is complete.

You cant go past all these beautiful things which are in the kit. Also think about adding some washi tape...........

I hope I have inspired you this Sunday why don't you pop over to the store and look at this kit and many more also have a look at the stunning Prima flowers if you don't have any in your stash.
