'Be Happy' mini album

Hello Sassy friends!

Almost the start of the weekend and what better way
to pass the time than getting busy with some crafty goodness!

Our beautiful March moodboard will be inspiring my posts throughout the month, starting with this mini album/journal I created using loads of Glitz Design 'Hello Friend'
and some other tasty bits that can all be found in the store.

The main idea for this journal came from a pack of Glitz 'Hello Friend' paper layers.
I thought they'd be perfect for a book of some sort.
Because the paper is quite thin, I've mounted them back to back.

Spread 1: I've sewn a simple pocket using Maggie Holmes Flea Market vellum. Tuck a few heartfelt notes inside and secure shut with some mini brads

Spread 2: Glitz 'Unchartered Waters' journalling spot, 'Hello Friend' Paper layers and October Afternoon journal insert, Epiphany crafts epoxy sticker & Prima washi tape

Spread 3: Glitz paper layers, Heidi Swapp clear banner & vellum ephemera, Maggie Holmes Flea Market frame, Epiphany crafts epoxy sticker & Studio Calico wood grain enamel dots which are NEW in store!

The peeling paint frames in the moodboard had me excited to try
a Prima crackle effect stencil. I've used it here with texture paste.

On the next spread, I have used a Heidi Swapp template with some Color Shine. I've fussy cut a large gold doily from a sheet of Maggie Holmes gold doily vellum and sewed it onto the page on two sides to create a pocket. Inside, I've tucked in a Crate slide frame.

I've tried to incorporate little pops of gold throughout the journal

Give a kraft bag a makeover with some embossing powder

I've popped a sweet Freckled Fawn wood frame onto the little bag

Finally, I've created a cut file in my Silhouette software and
mounted it with foam tape on top of a section of Hello Friend 'Polka'
