Have you ever had so many photos, you just don't know how you can possibly fit them all into your Project Life spread and keep it reasonably contained? Well, welcome to Project Life Monday | Photo Overload!!!
This week I have had to include an extra two pocket pages just to keep up with our very busy PL2015 | Week 26. We were on school holidays and were making the most of our vacation time, visiting new places and catching up with family. It is because of this, this weekly spread has a multitude of photos; almost an overload. Almost! *grin*
In its simplest form, I have selected my favourite photos from the week and edited them to fit 4x6 photo collage sheets. I created my own design of three, six or nine images, resizing them all to fit comfortably into a 4x6 pocket, without them being too small to miss the details.
I've also categorised each image to correspond to it adjacent photo, allowing the images to create a photo story without the need for excessive journaling. Each photo pocket contains images that relate to a particular story I want to document.
The filler cards have also been kept very simple. Each filler card needed to have white space, even if there is busy patterned paper in the background, to create an area for the eye to rest on the spread. This week I have used October Afternoon Summertime collection and Crate Paper Wonder.
On page two, I've used the same concept. Lots of photo collages and a few filler cards.
You might notice the lack of journaling for Week 26. My plan is not to forego it but rather type it up on the computer and print it out on a sheet of A4 cardstock. I will then add the journaling to its own individual pocket/sleeve and slip it in between the PL spreads. As you can imagine, with this many photos, there are equal numbers of stories to share of our two week get away. I will share details with you next week.
Until then, thanks for visiting today.
