An Altered Book With Trudi Harrison

Hello Sassy Scrappers!

Trudi back with you again sharing another project created with the beautiful Graphic 45 Come Away With Me Collection. This time, I have an altered book to share with you. 

The older style book I have used for the altering process was picked up during a Opp Shop visit costing me the grand total of 20 cents. The inside pages were affixed together with clear drying glue with a middle section removed to create a shadow box effect when the book is opened.  This was done with a craft knife and ruler.  'Pleasure Trip' paper was used for covering the outside front and back covers of the book. Coordinating Graphic 45 chipboard, fussy cut elements and metal elements (from my stash) add a little decoration.

Hello Sassy Scrappers!

Trudi with you today with another project share created with the Graphic 45 Come Away With Me Collection. Again, I have mixed things up a bit with some more background altering. I also wanted to show the versatility of this collection by stepping away from the travel influences of the range.

The blue side of the Look At Me paper creates the base. The outer edges were roughed up a little with the blade of a pair of scissors and then dabbed with walnut stain distress ink on a sponge.

Some masked detail was added with a honeycomb template and texture paste. When this was dry, white gesso was swipped randomly over some of the masked detail. Chocolate Brown and Tiffany Blue sprays were spritzed over the top with the colours allowed to run in some of the areas. Some smaller dot detail was added with a Heidi Swapp Confetti template and texture paste. Whilst this was still wet, diamond dust was sprinkled over the top. Some yellow colour spray was then spritzed over the top. A few sequins and coordinating chipboard were affixed. 

Strips of patterned papers have been layered with die cut elements.

 A few pretty blooms and paper rosettes add a touch of girly sweetness.

Come Away With Me! with Trudi Harrison .......

Hi Sassy Scrappers!! Trudi Harrison with you today on the Sassy blog showcasing the beautiful Graphic 45 Come Away With Me Collection. This collection is perfect for scrapping happy memories, adventures and daily meanderings.   I invite you to come away with me. Let's grab a boarding pass and strap ourselves in and embark on our little journey through an altered tag album I have put together for today's project inspiration.

I started with a Graphic 45 Staples Regular Tag Album  and covered each of the tags with the neutral toning of the 'Globetrotter' patterned paper. The edges have been inked with a sponge and Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

Each tag of the album depicts different modes of transport, destination and travel sentiment.

I was able to add  embellishing detail to each of the tags by layering Journaling and Ephemera Cards, fussy cut elements and coordinating chipboard.
