Love & Wishes gifting

Hello again Sassy Friends!

Friday is here, it's time to cheer. Happy holidays to those of you enjoying
some time out with the kidlets. I can't believe it's been a week already!

Have a celebration coming up soon? If you have a Silhouette Cameo
or electronic die cutting machine, why not have a go at creating
a matching gift box like this set I've made using Basic Grey's 'Highline'.
The card is quite a simple design,
letting the punchy brights do most of the talking.
Acrylic shapes are everywhere. You can create your own
with stamps and some acetate. Use a permanent ink like
StazOn and give it a couple of minutes to dry.
Create a tag with dimension, by layering elements.
The box shape is a Lori Whitlock design (3D bracket lid box)
which can be purchased through the Silhouette Store.
 Thanks for stopping by!

Good Day Sunshine - Basic Grey

 Hello Sassy Friends!
Another Friday is upon us and I have the added benefit
of not having to prepare school lunches for a whole two weeks. Happy days!
I am thoroughly enjoying creating with Basic Grey's 'Highline' this month.
As you can imagine, the super hot brights are speaking to me on many levels!
My little Silhouette has been sorely neglected lately.
This cool cut file by Kerri Bradford is perfect for this layout
about our excitement over the start of Spring!
I've given plain white cardstock a smattering of luscious Black Velvet,
Pink and Sweet Cherry Color Shine.
Add a fun dimension to your photos with a die cut frame with transparency overlays. There's quite a bit of layering going on here.
Don't be afraid to cluster your heart out!
Want a transparency to have a bit of height?
Back it with some paper so you can give it a boost!
Thank you so much for visiting us today.
Don't forget about our awesome September challenge.
Looking forward to seeing your entries!

Have a great weekend!

Right Now Beautiful - Basic Grey

Hello Sassy friends!

In my little corner of the world, the sun is shining and the birds are chirping.
Another weekend is almost upon us, yippee

I am lucky enough to be scrapping my stunning niece in this layout,
using Basic Grey's 'Highline'. I feel the sentiment to be quite timely too
as she is fast approaching life as a young adult.
There is actually loads going on underneath the photo. I like to call it
'clean' distress (as I don't enjoy getting my hands too messy, haha!)
I've done quite a bit of stamping, using brights reflecting the collection,
along with some mist splatters. I've also sewn a vellum pocket for my journalling.
The title has been handcut out of the printed paper.
It's not super neat, but I think it gives it a nice bit of edginess.
A thing I like to do is sew onto my embellishments before I adhere them.
This creates a layered look easily and saves your needles
from getting gunked up and jamming.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Chantalle

Basic Grey - HighLine Collection

Hello Hello!
Leonie here today with another share of the bright and gorgeous
Basic Grey Highline collection!

I loved this script paper in the Highline range, very on trend with all the
bold brushstroke scripts around at the moment.
It also comes in a black and white version which I'm using on next weeks page.
So make sure you check back in next Wednesday. ;)

Here's todays page!

A little gesso on the background helped give me something to ground
my photo on.  I used one of the Glitz Design Roller Doodles to make patterns
in the Gesso before it dried.  Just adds a nice little bit of texture to the background.

These chalkboard wood icons have been lots of fun to use.
I've used a white Gel Pen to journal on them with this layout.

You can see here I've highlighted some of the words with a black journalling pen!

Thanks for dropping by the Sassy Blog.
See below for links to all the products I've used today.
Happy Creative Wednesday to you.
Cheers,
Leonie Neal-Dawson.
