I used the Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss collection for my page.

Hi Sassy Scrappers, Olga here too today, with a very sincere apology for the oversight in announcing the winner of our April Challenge...
It completely flew off my radar last month with the launch of the new store and so much happening in the Sassy Store..  I promise we will get more timely in announcing our winners...

Without further ado though.....

The lucky winner of our April challenge as voted by our DT Girls is.....

Tammy Klingner...

Congrats Tammy on a beautiful layout..

Please email me at: sassyscrapper@wideband.net.au to receive your store voucher..

Thanks again for your ongoing support Sassy Scrappers, we really appreciate all the lovely feedback we receive..
Thanks

Hello Sunshine - Citrus Bliss

Hello again Sassy Friends!
I have another page using Pink Paislee's Citrus Bliss to share with you today. The sunny notes were perfect to document this little photo of my Son's first encounter with the beach. We were living in London at the time and seaside escapes weren't on the agenda as often as we are blessed with these days!

A bit tricky to see but on my base layer, I have used some Gel Medium through a stencil. I really love the clear texture you get! It gives dimension without overwhelming the page.
I then stitched a Citrus Bliss Insta card over the stencil work and went about finishing the layers with another frame from the same pack and a pre-cut tag (ephemera) which includes my journalling.

How adorable is that Dear Lizzy 'hello' clip!! (I honestly just want to use it for my hair instead!)

Using the insanely cute foiled pineapple vellum
and a WRMK envelope punchboard, I created this little envelope in which I've stashed another card, some sparkly bits and my image.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
PS: There is still lots of time to get your entries linked up for the May challenge...
Have a great weekend!

Just chillin' - Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss

Hello Sassy Friends!

I keep saying how it always feels like time is flying. I remember my first few weeks in Australia, after moving here from London. We knew only a couple of people. Josh and I would while away the hours, filling our days with all sorts of things, waiting patiently for my DH to come from work. One day I was ironing when I heard a child playing outside on a little tricycle. I ushered Josh out quick-smart "Go look, there's a friend for you to play with!!" The rest, as they say, is history. This is a layout I made for my dear friend Tammy, who is that little tricycle boy's Mum! Our kids, not so little anymore!

I started off by punching out a few of the printed circles in the sheet of 'Sour' Citrus Bliss paper. I then mounted the rest of the paper onto white cardstock. Over that, I slathered a good coating of gesso using an old loyalty card.

Once the gesso was dry, I misted some areas with some totally drool-worthy Hero Arts Neon Orange and Pink sprays.

Since this is a gift, I have created a hidden pocket for her journalling to go into. I have just folded some plain cardstock in half and stiched it on two sides. I prefer to stitch pockets if I can, as I find this prevents journalling cards from potentially sticking on the inside, to tiny bits of double sided tape.

I hid the pocket behind an Instagram Card. (Be quick, there is one pack of these awesome cards, which include frames and clear cards, left in the store!!)

Lots of layering and gorgeous embellies to finish off the page.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
I hope you might be persuaded to join our stunning moodboard for this month.

Wishing you a fantastic weekend

Relax - Citrus Bliss

What's yellow and makes you feel happy all over?
Yes, I'm talking about Pink Paislee's new Citrus Bliss collection Sassy friends!

I have been so excited to get my little paws on this gorgeous new line.
There is SO much goodness in the store at the moment!!

The design of this page was inspired by the two fabulous flamingos that come in the wood veneer pack. Kitsch-cool, these two fine-feathered friends instantly made me think of long, lazy, ice cream filled days!

The duplicity theme followed down the centre of my page, with embellishments set in multiples of two. It kind of reminds me of a vintage poster.

The little acrylic butterfly shapes as well as the wording have been machine stitched onto the paper to add a bit of interest and texture.

I'll be back again next week with another fun project. There are a few more days to enter our April challenge and don't forget, if you treat yourself to goodies from the store, you can go into the draw to WIN a MINC!! Probably the best prize EVER!

Thank you so much for popping in today.
Have a wonderful weekend
