Hi :) I have another share using some fun items from 'Say Cheese III' collection by Simple Stories.
These pages document the second part of May, and as I showed in my previous post this range is definitely great for more than just Disney themed pages!
I have used more of the gold foiled items from the store, including one of the acetate words whihc I split over two pockets for some extra interest.
I also backed more of the gorgeous gold foiled vellum with the grey cardstock to create a nice flow from my earlier pages.
I loved the bright & bold journal cards from this collection and used a sprinkle of enamel dots to decorate the front of the card which I used to create an easy flip pocket.
You can buy pre-made flip pockets, but cutting up one of your spare page protectors is an easy alternative. I used a craft knife and metal ruler to carefully cut around the edges of one 6x4" pocket ensuring that the top was around one inch longer. I then folded the top section and snipped off the sides at an angle before securing it to the back of the base card with double sided tape.
6x8 inserts are great for adding cards, extra photos and other memorabilia to your album - I photographed the front of my little guy's handmade card and folded it so that his writing would be easily visible inside the page protector, however I slipped in a 6x4" section of patterned paper inside the pocket so that his sentiments would remain personal.
I changed out some of the photo sizes on this page, but again aligned the placement to keep the page balanced.
I kept my embellishments pretty minimal on these pages, using just a few chipboard frames, stickers from the 8 page sticker pack a few enamel dots and the rotary stamp to dress up some of my cards and photos.
