Pocket Pages | Amy Tangerine Shine On | Agnus Kasprzak

Hi again :) I've been busy playing catch up in my project life album and have made a start on our May memories using lots of fun items from the new Amy Tangerine's 'Shine On' collection. 

This is a such a great collection filled with bright colours and bold patterns teamed with lots of gorgeous gold foil and kraft coloured accents that are sure to make any project pop!

I started my monthly title card with one of the gold foiled papers from the paper pad layered over a kraft cardstock base which I decorated with a white paint pen. The camera and leaves came from the ephemera pack and I used a couple of chipboard pieces along with one of the super cute inflated hearts to give my card more dimension. 

Proving that mistakes often bring about opportunities... I accidentally cut the journal tag a little short for this card but decided to add the left over section above the tag which resulted in a perfect addition to the quirky pic along side it. 

I paired some hand written journaling with typed journal strips and added a few chipboard accents to add interest to my journal cards.

I often 'audition' several background papers behind my photos before deciding which one to use and it often comes down to tone rather than pattern/colour and I spent a bit of time shuffling things around for the second part of the page, trying to balance out the light and dark tones.  

I used a black sharpie to add some definition to one of the ephemera leaves and created one of my own to match. 

I was feeling inspired by the scalloped borders featured on some of the ephemera pieces and decided to create a similar photo mat using a black sharpie to draw a simple scallop onto kraft cardstock and really liked how it tied in with the other elements. 

 

Using more of the gold foiled chipboard pieces to highlight some of the photos and journal cards and combining a few of the gold foiled patterns from the paper pad to give my cards more variety.

Storm | Pinkfresh Studio Escape The Ordinary | Tarrah McLean

Hi Sassy Scrappers,
It's Tarrah McLean back with you today to share a new layout created using the awesome Escape the Ordinary collection by Pinkfresh Studio!

I have had this storm photo printed out for some time now so when I saw that chipboard piece that says, 'Storms Don't Last Forever'' from the Escape the Ordinary collection I just knew I had to scrap this photo. That chipboard piece was definitely the inspiration for my layout this week.

I love taking photos of the weather and the sky! I must have been a meteorologist in my past life or I get it from my Dad...one of the 2! My Dad and I could talk about weather and watch the weather channel all day and not get bored! We love it! I stuck with a colour scheme this week of blue and white with a touch of yellow/gold.

Those leatherette alphas are amazing! I love them so I used them to add a plain title that just says 'Storm'...I feel like the photo speaks for itself so I didn't need to come up with a fancy title. I used lots of the ephemera and the cardstock stickers on this page, pulling out everything that I felt went with the theme of my page.

I decided to add the chipboard piece directly over the top of the photo and I love the sticker above it that says, 'Shake the World'. I also added the ephemera piece that says, 'Learn to Love the Skies You are Under' as I felt it went perfectly with this page and photo.

Smile | Pinkfresh Studio Escape the Ordinary | Tarrah McLean

Hi Sassy Scrappers,
It's Tarrah McLean back with you today to share a new layout created using the awesome Escape the Ordinary collection by Pinkfresh Studio!

This week I was inspired by some of the hexagon shaped elements included in this collection. So I pulled out my trusty hexagon punch that punches 2 size hexagons and punched a few from some of the different papers in the 6' x 6' paper pad.

I like how the different colours look mixed together in the hexagon shapes. I added a few triangle embellishments to break up the triangles a little bit. The butterflies in this collection are my absolute favourite so I just had to include my very last one that I was hoarding on this layout!

I have scrapped a photo of myself as I don't scrap myself all that often, I guess my family will want to remember what I looked like one day...well hopefully anyway ha! I mounted my photo on some Kraft cardstock...I like how it looked blended with the other colours.

Wander | Pinkfresh Studio Escape the Ordinary | Tarrah McLean

It's Tarrah McLean back with today to share a new layout created using the awesome Escape the Ordinary collection by Pinkfresh Studio!

I have had this photo printed for so long and never really found anything that I liked to go with it until I was working with this awesome collection again the other day!

Outdoor photos are just perfect! 

 I started out by cutting out a leafy background cut file from white cardstock and then backed a couple of random leaves with one of the papers from the 6' x 6' paper pad. I then machine stitched the cut out down onto another sheet of white cardstock.

I popped the photo up with some foam tape and embellished mostly around the photo to draw your eye in. I picked out green, gold and hints of blue embellishments as they were the colours in the photo. I chose 'Wander' as my title using those super cool leatherette alphabet stickers!

Skate Life | Pinkfresh Studio Escape the Ordinary | Tarrah McLean

It's Tarrah McLean back with today to share a new layout created using the awesome Escape the Ordinary collection by Pinkfresh Studio!

This paper I have chosen for my background, is my absolute favourite paper from this collection! I just love how different and out there it is! I think it suits a skate boarding photo perfectly!  

I matted my photo with one of the papers from the 6' x 6' paper pad and adhered it to the top row of triangles. I then pulled out all the embellishments that suited the skate boarding photo....things like Adventure, Fearless, Go Where You Feel Alive etc.

I added lots of the chipboard and puffy triangle stickers to further enhance the triangles in the paper, I also stamped the 'You're a Star' using the Escape the Ordinary stamp set. Lots of the small die cut stars and some black mist finished off my page!
