Hi Sassy Scrappers!
It's Tarrah McLean back with you again today! I am sharing my 6th layout and last layout with these products, the awesome Shimelle 'Starshine' and 'Go Now Go'!! Time for something new to create with after this post!

As soon as I saw that paper with all the different size rectangles from the Starshine collection I knew I had to fussy cut them all out and layer them underneath my photo! I love how it turned out with all the colours and edges looking uneven!

I cut out one of the small hot air balloons from that paper and cut out some of the clouds from the cloud paper to help embellish my layout....as I am getting down to the last of my kit now, I didn't have many embellishments left so making my own was key!

This photo is one of my all time favourites...it was taken professionally last year...our first ever family portrait sitting and I love the photos...they are all so nice! I love how the black and white of the photo pops off the coloured patterned papers!

Up, Up and Away | Shimelle | Tarrah McLean

Hi there Sassy Scrappers!
It's Tarrah McLean back with you and today I am sharing a new scrapbook layout with you using some of the goodies included in the awesome Shimelle 'Starshine' collection!

I started out by cutting a few hot air balloon cut files from white cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo, I then backed them with a couple of the different patterned papers from the Starshine collection to help bring them to life! This then led me to fussy cut some of the cute clouds from the cloud paper....it was very easy to create a scene like layout with all these cute elements added to my layout!

This photo is of my eldest son learning to fly his kite....its a photo from quite a few years ago now...he is almost 12 now and he is about 6 in this photo!

I have made a pact with myself to try and include more journaling on my layouts...I am not a fan of my own handwriting at all so typing it on the computer and printing it out is what works best for me and besides I really like the look of journaling strips!

Hello Adventure | Shimelle | Tarrah McLean

Hi Sassy Scrappers!

It's Tarrah McLean back with you again and today I am sharing a new layout with you all using the gorgeous Shimelle collections: Starshine and Go Now Go!

I just love that colourful striped paper and knew I wanted to use it as a background for this layout! The photo I am using is one of my sons from our recent trip to Europe and the UK. We were visiting the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester....the boys loved all the old planes and transport that were there!

I had lots of the Autumn themed embellishments left in the Shimelle Go Now Go collection and even though my layout is not about Autumn, I still think they go well on this layout!

The 'Journey' cork words are one of my favourite things from my kit this month! I love the texture and the dimension they bring to my layout!

Hi there Sassy Scrappers!
It's Tarrah McLean back with you and today I am sharing another layout using some of the gorgeous Shimelle collections from the Sassy store!

The Shimelle collections I am using this month have loads of travel inspired products in them but you don't always necessarily have to create full on travel themed projects with it.

My youngest son has a current fascination with Lamborghini cars! I snapped this photo of him in front of a Lamborghini store in London...I thought the 'Take It In' title was perfect for this layout but all the other elements on this layout are not really relevant to the theme, I don't mind that though, I just liked how the colours looked against the black background!

I really like how the cork elements add a bit of dimension and interest to this otherwise flat layout!

Love Paris | Shimelle | Tarrah McLean

Hi Sassy Scrappers!

It's Tarrah McLean back with you sharing another travel themed layout! I have used a mixture of Shimelle's Go Now Go and Starshine collections on this layout!

I decided to cut a title out from some red cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo. I then machine stitched through it to add some detail and to help keep it adhered! The cork 'Love' forms the beginning of my title, I overlapped the 'Love' onto a piece of the ephemera for a fun look!

I just love the transparent acrylic pieces of ephemera included in the Shimelle collections, they are perfect for adding embellishments near and around photos without taking away the focus of the photo! I find the best way to adhere these is to staple them down with my Tim Holtz tiny attacher!
