Summer Vibes with Kylie Kingham

Hi everyone!
Kylie back with you today to share a layout using the new 'Summer Days' collection by Simple Stories. This beautiful new range is now in store here.

Here is a little look at my completed layout-

I opted to use a white background again to really make the vibrant colours in these papers pop.I think the gingham print is my absolute favourite.

The ephemera is super cute for Summer themed projects.I created a heap of paper blossom just using circle punches and cutting into the centre for petals.I have centred them with pearls.By using foam tape on some helps build dimension.

Using some of my favourite Kaisercraft dies from my stash I balanced the flowers with some white leaves. The pinwheel was added for an element of fun, and it screams Summer too.

I hope you have enjoyed my layout this week. All supplies are in store.
Until next time,
Kylie xo

Kiss Me | Simple Stories Love and Adore | Tarrah McLean

Hi Sassy Scrappers!

Tarrah McLean joining you today to share my last layout created with the Simple Stories Love and Adore collection!
I ended up creating 6 layouts using this collection and I still have a few bits and pieces left as well!
Talk about getting the most out of your supplies!

For this layout, I decided to fussy cut out the geo heart that is on the reverse side of the black and white stripe paper. I put that piece to the side to use another time and I then hand stitched around the entire perimeter of the heart using a dark pink thread. I then backed the hole using one of the other papers!

As the paper behind the open heart is on a slight diagonal, I decided to use this as part of my design by adding my photo and embellishments in the same diagonal direction. I used a few of the Love and Adore journaling cards to act as layers under my photo and added a few of the chipboard stickers, ephemera and accessory stickers to complete my layout!

My niece was over visiting from England at Christmas time and we loved having her. As you can see she LOVED my littlest son as well! She is trying to give him a kiss here! So precious!

Thank you so much for stopping by the Sassy Scrappers blog today! Check out this collection and what's new in the Sassy store too! So much yumminess!

Happy creating!

Tarrah x

Spring is here..... well it must be I am sunburnt!!!

How are you this fine Sunday morning? The last couple days over here in the West has reminded me that it is Spring, even with a little bit of sunburn from my kids sport carnival on Friday. With that in mind and loving the spring blooms I would love to share with you my latest design team kit from Sassy Scrapper's.... and I am loving this range!!!

Webster's Lets Celebrate.... and it couldn't be more perfect for our first BLOG HOP too!!!!

Cant go past the fussy cut, perfect if your budget wise as it adds instant depth and interest. For me its a thing I do at night time will there are mindless things on TV and the kids are tucked in bed (might have a scrapping obsession but I cant be the only one... Can I?)

A journaling card make a perfect instant title, just cut around the printed shape and add a little foam mount.

To add more interest in your fussy cut flowers add a singular Prima Bloom, it also adds contrast and perfect if your on a budget.

The journaling cards are a perfect thing to add behind your photos either as a photo mat or hidden journaling.

Wondering were I got all those extra blooms....
