Dream

Hi lovely bloggers, it is Hetty here sharing a new layout with you this week using the gorgeous Prima Marketing 'Zephyr' collection and some yummy Prima and Manor House flowers, I was lucky enough for Olga to send me this month. Love how this layout came together especially the colours.

I actually made a boo boo with this layout. I cut the centre out of my blue background paper as I knew I was going to cover it up with the white cardstock and I didn't want to waste the pretty paper. By the time I cut the white cardstock and attacked it with my deep edge border punch I realized I made it too small and there was a gap showing. That is when I decided to put a contrasting piece of paper underneath the cardstock and I quite like the effect that created. Just shows you there are no mistakes in scrapbooking only new opportunities to get more creative, lol.

The following photos are off some of the products I used to create this layout, all of which are available right here in the Sassy Scrappers Shop.

That is it for now, hope you enjoyed my post.

Happy scrapping!

Hugs

Hetty xx

MME The Sweetest Thing - Tangerine

Good morning! It's Sam Hauzer here with a layout using the very gorgeous MME The Sweetest Thing - Tangerine.  I absolutely fell in love with this range when I saw it, the colours are just so beautiful.

Products Used - The Sweetest Thing Tangerine Sunshine Beam, The Sweetest Thing Tangerine Wonderful Dandy, The Sweetest Thing Tangerine Sunshine Blossom, The Sweetest Thing Tangerine Happy Layered Stickers, The Sweetest Thing Tangerine Wonderful Chipboard Elements, Prima Flowers #557300 Charlotte Melon 6pk

I really loved the background paper I used for this layout. The detail in the bottom right corner is printed on the page, and I just added 3 little chipboard stickers to it. I added a couple of paper doilies from my stash to place under my photo to compliment the printed doily on the page :)

Here's a little look at some of the products I used...

September Guest Designer - Joanne Bain

Saturday Greeting!!

Joanne here with you today & I am so happy to have been asked to be a Guest Designer here for the month of September.

Here is a little about me...

My name is Joanne but my friends call me Jo. I am a very proud mother of 2 (the best kids in the world I am slightly bias) and I am happily married to my best friend and have been for 19 years. He is the best husband a girl could ask for and is very supportive of my need to scrapbook. We live in sunny Queensland on the northern side of Brisbane along with our 2 dogs and more pet birds then I can count. I have been a scrapbooker for 12 years and yes I would say I am slightly addicted to this craft...lol. I have tried my hand at digital designing and scrapbooking but I much prefer the look, touch and feel of paper.

My preferred scrapping preference is 12 x 12 layouts and creating off the page, but I do enjoy altering items and making the odd card. I am not locked into a specific scrapping style, as I am happy to give anything a go. I would describe my style as structured full of detail and dimension, with lots of layers and fussy cut paper cutting if the papers have a pattern that allows me to do so.

My pages need to have dimension…lol no flat scrapbooking pages for me.

Presently I design for Kaisercraft and Manor House Creations.

My Blog - Scrappin For Me

This month I am showcasing the gorgeous new PRIMA ROSARIAN collection.

I just love this collection and I couldn't wait to get started. Full of lace, doilies and roses galore. This collection has a strong color palette of pinks, reds, teals, and black. Sure to make the girl in you giggle with delight.

Materials Used available from Sassy Scrappers.

#844554 - Bocella
#844585 - Alba

#562601 - Rosarian Timido Roses
FRA018 - Twiddleybitz Circle Doily
#F638 - Cranberry Kaisercraft Blooms

Other - organza ribbon, hatpins & Cheery Lynn butterfly dies.

My page is packed with dimension..I also had some fussy cutting fun with the  gorgeous Old Garden patterned paper. I painted a little gesso to the chipboard doily and created a lot of different banners to create my background.

I love to create layered clusters of embellishments to my pages to help create a focal point. I like to have the more you look the more you see feel to my pages.

This collection is just so bright and fresh. The black background just makes the colours pop.

Hope you have a wonderful week end.

Arty Farty .....

Wow - how is it possible that it's Thursday again???

I seemed to have lost a week! :)

So I have dabbled in something a little different this week.
I have been really enjoying playing with masks and Sassy has a great range in the shop .

This unusual layout has been created using hessian as a background .

I used a mask from The Crafters Workshop , placed it over the top and sponged on some gesso.
When you do this, make sure you have some scrap paper under the hessian as the gesso will seep thru.

I used this gorgeous template.

While that was drying, I used the 6x6 starburst mask and placed it over the Pink Paislee Mistable borders and used Mister Hueys mist in Pinstripe to create a pattern.

When the ink was dry, I used the Mistable border to make a wind up flower.
Once everything was dry, using the sewing machine, I adhered it to some black cardstock.

I'm really happy with the result and love the look of something different in my album.

And finally, Happydaks has a Birthday party to go to this weekend so I whipped up a quick and easy card using more bits from Studio Calico and Hambly!
Again ... simple and effective works well!

Well I hope you are all creating up a storm and taking advantage of the amazing special in the Sassy Shop...

One Last "Awesome" Layout

Good morning everyone! It's Sam Hauzer back again to share my last Simple Stories "Awesome" layout...

Products used - Simple Stories "Awesome" papers and stickers, Manor House Flowers, Green Tara Flower Kaisercraft Cogs, American Crafts Thickers, corrugated cardboard, ink, black pen, Purple Pumpkin buttons.

I used a piece of corrugated cardboard to layer my papers on, to give the layout a bit more dimension, and for a 'grungy' look. I used lots of flowers on this boyish page, which can give a layout a bit of a 'softer' feel, because boys aren't all about dirt and adventure - they can be sweet and lovable too!

I stuck my Thickers to some patterned paper, and then cut it out and outlined it with black pen to make it really stand out against the background. I find this is really good to do when the letters are a similar colour to the papers you are using because you don't want your title to get lost on the page!

I hope you've enjoyed seeing all the layouts I created with this range over the last few weeks. Don't forget to pop over to the Sassy Scrappers Shop to grab some of this fabulous collection. You can see them HERE.

Have a great week!
