These Are The Moments | Pinkfresh Studio Escape the Ordinary | Tarrah McLean

Hi Sassy Scrappers,

It's Tarrah McLean back with today to share a new layout created using the awesome Escape the Ordinary collection by Pinkfresh Studio!

This week I wanted to focus on the gorgeous layered tags included in the Escape the Ordinary collection! I decided to arrange them how I liked them, once I was happy I adhered them down in place. I decided to add a few little extra embellishments to each tag including stitched hearts, stamps, ephemera and puffy stickers.

This photo is of my gorgeous sister with her beautiful eldest daughter, I love the tones in the photo so it was a perfect one to use on this layout. Everything co-ordinated perfectly!

I love the stitching detail on all the tags, it really adds a pop of great texture along with fabulous visual interest! Sometimes I struggle with how to use these types of tags but I figure if I added them all, I couldn't go wrong right?

I finished off with some splatters of black mist and the date stamp! I really like how it turned out!

Thanks for stopping by the Sassy blog today!

Check out the Sassy store for this collection plus loads more gorgeous must have products!

Happy creating!

Family Fun | Elle's Studio Family Fun | Tarrah McLean

Hi Sassy Scrappers!

It's Tarrah McLean joining you again today and I have a brand new layout using one of the brand new collections now in the Sassy store! It is the super pretty Family Fun collection by Elle's Studio!

I honestly did not know where to start with my layout this week as this collection is awesome! I pulled out this background paper and was immediately inspired to add some circular elements to go with the circles already printed on the paper. The thin strip of paper down the left hand side is the manufacturer strip, I trimmed it off the bottom of the paper as I love those stripes!

The 2 flair buttons I have used on this layout were not included in this collection, they just come from my evergrowing stash! My favourite thing from this collection are those super cute acrylic shapes. I just adore those colours and the cute shapes!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Sassy blog today! Stay tuned for more layouts by me using this collection coming up over the next couple of weeks!

Get your Family Fun collection from the Sassy store now!

Happy creating!

Hello Bro | Bella Blvd Alex | Tarrah McLean

Happy Easter Sassy Scrappers!

It's Tarrah McLean back with you and today I am sharing a new layout that is a little more masculine than the ones I have been sharing lately!

I got a brand new box of goodies from the Sassy store this week and picked a few masculine pieces this time!

Having 2 sons and a hubby I am rather inundated with boy stuff so I thought I would share how to create some fun boy layouts as I know they can be difficult!
I have used some of the awesome Alex collection by Bella Blvd that you can find in the Sassy store.....I cut a funky background, available from Just Nick Studio, using one of the patterned papers and backed it onto white cardstock. I also turned some of the negative pieces upside down and filled them back in for a pop of blue throughout the layout.

The Alex ephemera pack had perfect bits and pieces in it to embellish my layout, I also used one of the yellow Bella Blvd puffy star stickers but coloured it black and the Heidi Swapp wood veneer pieces added some great male touches too. A little splatter of Mister Huey's Warm Calico mist added the final touches! Sometimes you just have to not overthink a project....I often find it difficult to know when to stop when I create layouts, I think with masculine layouts you can get carried away but if you keep things fairly simple you should be fine!

I took my black pen and also outlined a few of those triangles to make them stand out a little more too!

Thank you so much for stopping by the Sassy blog today! I hope you are inspired to try some boy layouts?! You can find plenty of boy themed goodies in the Sassy store now...below are photos and links to what I have used for this layout!

Enjoy your Easter with your families!
See you next week!

Happy creating!

Weekly Planner | Pinkfresh Studios | Indigo Hills | Nae Bowell

Hey Lovelies, its that time of the week again and I am excited to be back to show you another of my fun planner pages using the beautiful Pinkfresh Studios, Indigo Hills collection. This range has some amazing products that lend themselves very nicely to planner pages. The collection has an entire sticker set that appears to be made specifically for planners.

This weeks spread I decided to really get into the stickers from the collection and layer my page with puffy stickers, chipboard stickers and the planner stickers with beautiful florals, inspirations quotes and of course those amazing hearts!

I am not one to use random word stickers or phrases in my planners but I really found it quite therapeutic just sticking in and reading over the quotes to inspire me through out the week. I love how the stickers just filled up my some what boring week. I basically cleaned house all week for a house inspection. No matter how boring the week, always remember it is important to document and capture those little moments in time.

I had seen a technique used by a few different planner girls now where they reinforce their binder holes with washi tape. I used the beautiful floral wide washi that is in the collection to add a light layer of detail behind my gold hole reinforcers. I just love all the little details just floating behind the main contents of the week.

Remember you don't have to be restricted to just washi tape and stickers. I have used strips of patterned paper cut to size to fit within my days to highlight important events like work. You can even colour coordinate your events to have particular colours to keep a consistent feel to your weekly spread.

Unfortunately there is no process video for me this week. I have decided to try and take it a little easy with the videos over Christmas. Working in retail is chaotic enough but add Christmas to the mix and look out for a whole different world of craziness. Ill be back in January with more process videos.

Jump over to the Sassy Scrapper store to grab all your Indigo Hills products. They are simply amazing and are definitely worth adding to your planner collection!

Love you guys,
Love always,
Nae xoxo

Project Life | December Daily..

Hello Sassy Friends! Today's post is all about creating a December Daily style set up while still continuing to fill you Project Life pocket pages.  Our first week in December generally involves our Elf On The Shelf antics and decorating the tree. Each day I've been snapping a quick photo and then printed them out at 3"x4".

I've chosen the Fancy Pants | Happy Place Brag Cards from the Happy Place collection to help document the moments. These gorgeous filler cards easily slip quickly into the pockets with little to no embellishment needed.

Some of the cards have been designed to specifically include journaling spots.

But on some of the filler cards I have embellished with Fancy Pants | Happy Place Puffy Stickers. Sometimes, keeping it simple, is all the embellishment required.

I have still used the normal Becky Higgins Design A Pocket Pages but have opted to add two 3"x4" elements to the 4"x6" pockets.

I plan to keep my pocket pages light and bright with the festive colours and documenting each day as I go.  Thanks for visiting here today..x
