April pocket page with Kylie

Hello Sassy ones!
Kylie back with you all today sharing another project with you featuring the pretty 'Rose Quartz' collection by Prima Marketing. You can check these goodies out here.
Pocket pages with this collection are so easy thanks to the 3" x 4" and 4" x 6" journaling,  notecard pads available. With multiples of each design you can be sure to be able to use your favourites more than once.

Here is a little look at my completed page-

I love the metallic Rose Gold!

This is one of the 4" x 6" journaling cards.I have added a cut down doily to each side as well as a few pieces from the ephemera pack.

Again I've used lots of layering of ephemera as well as my own typed text. Those feathers are so sweet!

I enjoy keeping my photos down sized for pocket pages to allow for layering behind and surrounding.

I almost couldn't bring myself to use that heart tag....It's so gorgeous.

This quote is in metallic rose gold.Divine!

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my project this week!I will list all the goodies I have used below and you will of course find them in the Sassy store.

Until next time,
Kylie xoxo

Hello Bro | Bella Blvd Alex | Tarrah McLean

Happy Easter Sassy Scrappers!

It's Tarrah McLean back with you and today I am sharing a new layout that is a little more masculine than the ones I have been sharing lately!

I got a brand new box of goodies from the Sassy store this week and picked a few masculine pieces this time!

Having 2 sons and a hubby I am rather inundated with boy stuff so I thought I would share how to create some fun boy layouts as I know they can be difficult!
I have used some of the awesome Alex collection by Bella Blvd that you can find in the Sassy store.....I cut a funky background, available from Just Nick Studio, using one of the patterned papers and backed it onto white cardstock. I also turned some of the negative pieces upside down and filled them back in for a pop of blue throughout the layout.

The Alex ephemera pack had perfect bits and pieces in it to embellish my layout, I also used one of the yellow Bella Blvd puffy star stickers but coloured it black and the Heidi Swapp wood veneer pieces added some great male touches too. A little splatter of Mister Huey's Warm Calico mist added the final touches! Sometimes you just have to not overthink a project....I often find it difficult to know when to stop when I create layouts, I think with masculine layouts you can get carried away but if you keep things fairly simple you should be fine!

I took my black pen and also outlined a few of those triangles to make them stand out a little more too!

Thank you so much for stopping by the Sassy blog today! I hope you are inspired to try some boy layouts?! You can find plenty of boy themed goodies in the Sassy store now...below are photos and links to what I have used for this layout!

Enjoy your Easter with your families!
See you next week!

Happy creating!

Agnus | Domestic Bliss Pocket Pages

Hi :) I'm back with another share from my project life album! I am still working on February and am once again using the fun and bright Domestic Bliss collection from Simple Stories.

While my previous post used this collection to document everyday life, I focused on the more domestic side of things this week and included some photos that might have normally not been included in our album even though they too make up the story of our lives.

We make not enjoy doing the housework but at least this collection puts a fun spin on things and it would also work really well for your planners.

I kept things nice and simple, and mainly just used the clear and cardstock sticker packs along with a scatter of enamel dots to dress up my cards and photos.

Even the humble laundry on the line got a mention in this week's post ;)

I cut out the centers from a few filler cards and used the frames to draw attention to a couple of pics and like the way it tied in to the first card on the previous page.

Even though I often look for ways to make my cards more personalised, having pre-made filler cards with fun sayings makes documenting a lot quicker.

I often hang on to various sorts of memorabilia and have used an invitation to create a flip up card to hold a few extra photos from my beautiful god-daighter's wedding.

Kiss Me | Simple Stories Love and Adore | Tarrah McLean

Hi Sassy Scrappers!

Tarrah McLean joining you today to share my last layout created with the Simple Stories Love and Adore collection!
I ended up creating 6 layouts using this collection and I still have a few bits and pieces left as well!
Talk about getting the most out of your supplies!

For this layout, I decided to fussy cut out the geo heart that is on the reverse side of the black and white stripe paper. I put that piece to the side to use another time and I then hand stitched around the entire perimeter of the heart using a dark pink thread. I then backed the hole using one of the other papers!

As the paper behind the open heart is on a slight diagonal, I decided to use this as part of my design by adding my photo and embellishments in the same diagonal direction. I used a few of the Love and Adore journaling cards to act as layers under my photo and added a few of the chipboard stickers, ephemera and accessory stickers to complete my layout!

My niece was over visiting from England at Christmas time and we loved having her. As you can see she LOVED my littlest son as well! She is trying to give him a kiss here! So precious!

Thank you so much for stopping by the Sassy Scrappers blog today! Check out this collection and what's new in the Sassy store too! So much yumminess!

Happy creating!
